The National Science Center has announced the results of the second edition of the international competition for Polish-Chinese research projects.
Financial support was granted to two projects from the Jagiellonian University.
Applicants had the opportunity to obtain funds for research in the area of life sciences and science and technology.
The total budget of the grants awarded for the Polish part of the research amounts to nearly PLN 28 million.
SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
Project title: Intelligent fibres based on natural biopolymers.
Project leader from Jagiellonian University: Prof. Dr. Szczepan Janusz Zapotoczny.
Project leader from China: Peiyi Wu, Donghua University.
Amount of funding: PLN 2,013,600.
LIFE SCIENCES
Project Title: Enhancing cardiac repair after myocardial infarction using genetically enhanced cardiomyocytes and endothelial cells derived from induced pluripotent stem cells.
Project leader from Jagiellonian University: Prof. Józef Dulak, Ph.
Project leader from China: Sifeng Chen, Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Fudan University, Shanghai, People's Republic of China.
Grant amount: PLN 1,973,960.
