Subject of the call:
The objective of the Program is to support the highest quality of research and teaching activities conducted by Polish academic and scientific units by involving in these activities foreign scientists of world class standing in the following sciences: natural, engineering and technical, medical and health and agricultural. The programme is addressed to selected institutions of higher education and science, including Polish universities, scientific institutes and research institutes. They will be able to receive funding for the implementation of the Project responding to challenges of civilization on a global scale. Visiting Scientists should significantly develop breakthrough scientific research and actively apply for prestigious research grants. Within the framework of the Program it will be possible to employ for a period of 36-48 months scientists with outstanding international achievements, coming from various countries of the world, and to establish a Project Group by them.
Funding under the Programme covers remuneration for the Visiting Researcher, for the members of the Project Group and the Inviting Person, mobility allowance for the Visiting Researcher and costs of adaptation and organisation of the workplace and preparation of the research facilities. An element of the Programme is the Research Component, financed by the National Science Centre.
