Subject of the competition:
Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) has opened call for proposals under the Promotion of the Polish Language.
The objective of the call is to promote Polish language together with the elements of Polish history and culture through the funding of ventures which enhance teaching quality and prestige of Polish as a foreign language, permanently affecting the image of Polish in the world.
The projects should be creative and provide high degree of adaptation to the needs of the target group. Preference is given to actions addressed to a foreign recipient, and are expected to be carried out jointly with a foreign university, and which have not been taken so far by the applicant in the scope and scale proposed in a project.
The call for proposals at NAWA is open until 31 July 2023, 3 p.m.
- Actions carried out in Poland or abroad aimed at disseminating Polish as a foreign language and strengthening the quality of its teaching will be funded.
- The project may be carried out in the period between 1 October 2023 and 31 December 2024 and may last from 3 to 12 months.
- The maximum funding per project is PLN 100,000.00
- The announcement of the call’s results shall be issued by 30 September 2023
JU internal regulations:
In view of the fact that one university may submit up to 3 proposals concerning three different projects, please submit by 22 June 2023 the declaration of application in the call as per the template which constitutes Attachment 1 to this Communication.
I recommend that each Faculty/Unit select only 1 proposal. However, should a JU entity wish to submit more call entry declarations, the Head of the JU organisational unit shall subject them to preliminary verification and present them in the form of a list ordered by recommendation strength, sent alongside the declarations to a call assistant at the RSC.

- a draft proposal, for the purposes of review and verification of formal and accounting eligibility (electronic version of the proposal in the form of a pdf file sent to the address of the call assistant at the RSC);
- the Educational Project Entry Form and the VAT eligibility form filled out in the electronic system JU Project Zone
The terms of application outlined in this Communication do not apply to JUMC units.
