The NPRH Universalia Module objective is to cover funding of:

  • translation into: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Russian as well as the publication of the most remarkable monographs of the Humanities in Poland in order for introducing them to the international academic circulation (Universalia module 2.1);
  • multiannual research projects concerning the edition in Polish of the most important cultural works, in particular of the world humanities, in order for introducing them to the international academic circulation (Universalia module 2.2)

General terms of drawing up proposals:

  • The basis for the drawing up a proposal is to make oneself familiar with the objectives and detailed rules of the NPRH programme, specified in the Minister’s communication of 11 May 2022
    on the establishment of the programme called “National Programme for the Advancement of the Humanities” and the call for proposals.
  • The funding of projects under the Universalia module may be granted for the period of up to 60 months, with the reservation that the maximum amount of funding may not exceed PLN 500,000
    under the Universalia module 2.1 and 1.8 million under the Universalia module 2.2.
  • Projects covering the applicant’s ongoing research which are financed with funds from the state budget may not be submitted in the call.
  • Direct costs may cover solely eligible costs included in the catalogue specified in the Minister communication.
  • Indirect costs of the project implementation under the NPRH modules at JU amount to 20% of project’s direct costs.
  • The project’s budget should account for the amount of VAT. Please state gross amounts in the cost estimate.

Form of submitting proposals:

The proposal alongside the required annexes shall be submitted in the electronic form by the principal investigator in the ZSUN/OSF system accessed through the website: https://osf.opi.org.pl

Application deadline:

Call for submissions at the MEiN will be opened from 1 September to 31 October 2022 by 4 p.m.

Internal regulations:

Pursuant to the Order no 56 of JU Rector 11 July 2016 on: The procedure for drawing up and implementing projects funded from external sources at Jagiellonian University persons interested in entering the call are asked to deliver to the RSC:

  • by 14 October 2022 a draft proposal in the form of a PDF file generated by the ZSUN/OSF system (the draft version means the need to complete all the sections apart from the project’s detailed description and investigators’ questionnaires, and in the event that the applying for publication funding is intended, it is necessary to attach to the proposal a final version of a publishing cost estimate made in accordance with the template provided in ZSUN/OSF system);
  • by 24 October 2022:
    • final version of the proposal in the form of a pdf file generated by the ZSUN/OSF system named in accordance with the template: Surname and given name of the principal investigator, name of the programme, date of the document, (Kowalski_Jan_NPRH_24-10-2022), signed with a qualified electronic signature (the PAdES format as standard) by the head of the JU organisational entity, i.e. the dean or director/head of other organisational entity) acting as the project’s host entity;
    • “Part A” of the proposal (generated from the ZSUN/OSF system, after having locked the proposal) Please note: the date of generating this document shall not be earlier than the date of the last project modification.

The research project entry form and The VAT eligibility form filled out in the electronic system JU Project Zone at: https://strefaprojektow.uj.edu.pl/ at least 2 days before the date of the submission of the proposal final version.

Out of concern for the quality of the submitted projects, especially in terms of meeting formal requirements, you are encouraged ]to deliver the documents to the RSC well ahead of the above mentioned deadlines.

Please bear in mind that sending the proposal to the MEiN in the ZSUN/OSF system cannot be reversed and prevents later modifications. In light of the above, the proposal in the electronic form should be sent only once the signatures of JU authorities in the proposal have been obtained. The above mentioned documents, signed by JU authorities, shall be delivered by a call assistant at the RSC to the email addresses you have specified. “Part A” of the proposal will be sent by the RSC to the MEiN using the Electronic Platform of Public Administration Services ePUAP.
