Purpose of the Program:

Call for research project funding proposals, with a principal objective of increasing the availability of products and solutions as far as nutrition is concerned through the implementation of the research and development work’s results in the time horizon of 2030.

Terms of the call:

• Prospective entrants in the call are consortia comprising up to three entities (including at least one enterprise and at least one research entity). A leader of a consortium may be solely an enterprise.
• A project may include several thematic areas or problems under the selected thematic area of the call, with the reservation that an applicant must indicate one, major thematic area concerning the project (annex 2 to the call’s terms and conditions).
• The maximum project duration is 48 months.
• The minimum amount of eligible costs in a project is PLN 1 million and maximum PLN 10 million.
• The level of funding for research entities is up to 100% of eligible costs.
• Indirect costs are settled using a flat rate of 25% of the direct costs.
• Project’s results shall be implemented within 3 years of the completion of the project.

Form of submitting proposals:

Only electronic funding proposals will be accepted, sent through the LSI system, accessed at: lsi.ncbr.gov.pl. The system will be available from 6 July to 30 September 2022, 4 p.m.

Application Deadline:

Proposals may be submitted to the NCBR through the LSI system from 6 July to 30 September 2022.

JU internal regulations:
1. In view of the project funding agreement’s provisions (annex 13 to the call’s terms and conditions) assuming joint and several liability of the partners for the implementation of the project, the Authors/Project Principal Investigator are obliged to submit their willingness to participate in the competition in advance.

Preliminary declarations of participation in the call prepared in accordance with the template attached as annex 1 to this Communication should be sent by 10 August 2022 to the email address of the call assistant at the RSC.

Project proposals signed by the Author and the Head of the organisational entity (i.e. dean, director/head of other organisational entity) may be submitted electronically (a document signed with a qualified electronic signature or in the form of a scan with a handwritten signature alongside a version of the proposal open to editing).

Based on the declarations you will have submitted, Jagiellonian University authorities will decide on the approval for your further proceeding with application in the call. The call assistant at the RSC shall inform you
of the decision of JU authorities.

2. Upon securing approval of the planned project, pursuant to the Ordinance no 56 of JU Rector of 11 July 2016 on: The procedure for drawing up and implementing projects funded from external sources at Jagiellonian University persons interested in entering the call are asked to deliver to the deliver to the RSC:

• by 30 August 2022 to the call assistant at the RSC an agreement on collaboration of a group of entities toward implementation of the proposed project, sent by a leader of a project,
• by 19 September 2022:
  • a research project entry form and a VAT eligibility form filled out in the electronic system JU Project Zone at: https://strefaprojektow.uj.edu.pl/.

Proposal submission requires the approval of the research project entry form, in the electronic system JU Project Zone, by the Head of the JU unit and JU Bursar.

The project’s author/principal investigator is obliged to deliver to the RSC the final version of the proposal submitted under the Consortium in the LSI system.

The terms of application outlined in this Communication do not apply to JUMC entities.
