Call purpose:

The aim of the project is to develop an authoritative database containing test scenarios for characteristic road conditions occurring in Poland, which will be the basis for testing perception systems in autonomous vehicles (AVs). The proposed innovation of the project is to collect data on Polish road conditions taking into account specific signage, planning and road solutions. The prepared scenarios will allow to test the operation of the perception and vehicle control systems for selected contexts of the road environment, which will allow to develop and test the software of new automatic control solutions in simulation conditions - faithfully reproducing real road situations. AV control software must take into account: traffic organization, signs and traffic lights, other vehicles on the road, pedestrians, cyclists and other forms of transport on the road. AVs should at the same time be able to deal with missing information, e.g. dirty road signs, and demonstrate their ability to cope with unusual situations: traffic jams, accidents or road works.
