Programme description:

In order to encourage the participation of so-called 'widening' countries in Horizon Europe programme, in particular in Pillar 2 activities, the European Commission is calling for applications for the Hop On Facility programme (HORIZON-WIDERA-2022-ACCESS-07-01), funded within the programme “Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area” and aiming to strengthen the inclusive character of the European Research Area. The programme allows legal entities from low R&I performing countries to join already selected collaborative R&I actions, subject to the agreement of the respective consortium and provided that legal entities from such countries are not yet participating in it.

The call is intended only for entities from Widening Countries, providing the opportunity to join ongoing Pillar 2 RIA and EIC Pathfinder projects.

Conditions:

• One partner from a Widening country may join the project, as long as there are no other representatives of Widening countries in the consortium
• Voluntary principle, without prejudice to the freedom of consortium building
• Joining of Pillar II projects with a signed grant agreement
• Precise description of the partner and its contribution to the project
• Consent of all participants in the consortium
• Grant allocated entirely to the activities carried out by this partner, except for the coordination fee for the leader (10%)
• The entity applying to join the programme must have a Gender Equality Plan

Call closing date: 10 November 2022.

The application is submitted by the coordinator of the project you wish to join, with the general agreement of the other consortium members.
