Subject of the call:
The aim of the programme is to allow prominent Polish scientists to return to their country and take up employment at Polish higher education institutions, scientific units or research institutes and form a research team. The programme is open for returning scientists representing all scientific fields. The representatives of the field of art may attend the programme, provided that the actions to be pursued in the project are expected to be of a scientific nature.
The programme enables the returning scientist to take up employment at a Polish institution and includes 2 tracks, depending on the stage of the returning scientist’s academic career:
- Junior scientist
- Experienced scientist
Application Deadline:
The NAWA call for proposals runs until July 25, 2022 at 3:00 pm (Warsaw local time).

JU internal regulations:
Pursuant to the Ordinance no 56 of JU Rector of 11 July 2016 on: The procedure for drawing up and implementing projects funded from external sources at Jagiellonian University persons interested in entering the call (not applicable to JUMC entities) are asked to deliver to the RSC:
- by 13 July 2022:
- a proposal draft (electronic version sent as a pdf file) to the address of the call assistant at the RSC) for the purposes of review and verification of formal eligibility,
- a research project entry form and a VAT eligibility form, filled out in the electronic system JU Project Zone at: www.strefaprojektow.uj.edu.pl;
- by 20 June 2022 – the final version of the proposal alongside the required annexes (electronic version sent in as a pdf file signed with a qualified electronic signature or a pdf without signatures supported with an email declaration of its acceptance, or a scan of the hard copy with handwritten signatures) to the address of the call assistant at the RSC. Signatures required: project author (the returning scientist) and the head of the JU organisational entity in which the project is to be implemented (i.e. Dean or Director/Head of other organisational entity).
