Call description:
The goal of the programme is to enhance the creative and innovative potential of experienced researchers, wishing to acquire new skills through individual interdisciplinary research training, and international and inter-sectoral mobility. A proposal will be prepared with a supervisor; should the grant be awarded, the supervisor will provide assistance to the employed researcher in matters of science and organisation, and will be responsible for contacts with Research Executive Agency.
The programme deals with two types of projects:
1) European Fellowships: which enable researchers of all nationalities to carry out grants from 12 to 15 months in any EU country or a country associated with the Horizon Europe programme.
2) Global Fellowships, which enable researchers from EU or countries associated with the Horizon Europe to implement their grants in a nonassociated third country, as secondments of 12 to 24 months: a mandatory 12- month return phase.
Principal terms of the scheme:
- The projects may deal with any research domain.
- An applicant may be a researcher of any nationality who is in possession of a doctoral degree for up to 8 years at the day of the call deadline (excluding career breaks).
- A recruited researcher must not have resided in the country of the host institution for more than 12 months in the last 3 years, starting from the day of the call deadline. A researcher will be employed in the host institution under a contract of employment the entire Project duration.
- The funding will cover 100% of project costs. The institution receives funds covering
- researcher’s personnel costs (per person-month):
- living allowance: EUR 5,080 x weighting factor month, i.e. 70,5%
- mobility allowance: EUR 600 per month,
- family allowance: EUR 660 per month,
- costs for the host institution (per person-month):
- costs of training, research: EUR 1,000 per person-month,
- management and indirect costs: EUR 650 per person-month.
- researcher’s personnel costs (per person-month):
- Additionally, the programme covers costs incurred in the event of researcher’s long-term leave during the Grant implementation (long-term leave allowance, incident to, e.g. long-term sickness) as well as costs associated with researchers’ special needs (special needs allowance, relating to, e.g. disabilities).
Application Deadline:
The call for proposals runs until September 14, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. (Brussels time). (CWN deadline 31 August 2022).

- Applications shall be submitted electronically only, through Funding & Tender Portal: ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tenders/opportunities/portal/screen/home.

UJ Internal Regulations:
Pursuant to the Order no 56 of JU Rector 11 July 2016 on: The procedure for drawing up and implementing projects funded from external sources at Jagiellonian University persons interested in entering the call (not applicable with JUMC) are asked to deliver to the CWN:
- by 31 August 2022:
- draft version of the proposal - electronic version of the proposal sent in the form of a pdf file, with completed at least the administrative part of the proposal,
- a research project entry form and a VAT eligibility form, filled out in the electronic system JU Project Zone at: https://strefaprojektow.uj.edu.pl/
- by 14 September 2022 (following the submission of the proposal in Funding and Tender portal system) the final version of the proposal - an electronic version of the proposal in the form of a pdf file.
Proposal submission requires the approval of the proposal entry form, in the electronic system JU Project Zone, by the Head of the JU unit and JU Bursary.
