Freedom starts with your mind" grant program for Ukrainian scientists

Date: 29.03.2022 - 30.12.2022
Freedom starts with your mind" grant program for Ukrainian scientists

The Kosciuszko Foundation is launching a new grant program for scientists - citizens of Ukraine who, as a result of the Russian invasion, have found themselves in Poland and are unable to continue their scientific work in Ukraine.

The goal of the program is to support those who cannot return to their home country and continue their scientific work. The grants will allow scientists to continue their work by implementing a research project in Poland.

The program is addressed to scientists from Ukraine who are citizens of Ukraine and hold at least a doctoral degree (PhD). In order to receive the grant, the applicant must be an employee or research associate of a Ukrainian university or other scientific research unit and submit the required documents. The scientific project described in the grant application should be conducted in cooperation with a Polish university or scientific and research institution.

A one-time grant of PLN 10,000 will be awarded based on an application to the program on a form that includes:

  • an attached cv of the candidate;
  • a description of the candidate's scientific activities
  • description of the scientific project to be implemented in Poland;
  • a scanned letter or e-mail from the candidate's supervisor or collaborator from a Polish university or research institute confirming willingness to cooperate in the project.

Applications should be filled out in Polish or English.
The Kosciuszko Foundation is accepting applications from candidates on ongoing basis.

For more information, please email: warsaw@thekf.org  (Polish or English).

Grants are paid from funds received from Kosciuszko Foundation Donors in the United States.
