The Jagiellonian University’s power to confer the academic degree of doktor habilitowany in a discipline is exercised by the research discipline councils.

Pursuant to the Procedure of proceedings for the conferment of academic degrees at Jagiellonian University, a request for initiating the proceeding for the conferment of the academic degree of doktor habilitowany shall be submitted to Jagiellonian University through the Council of Scientific Excellence.
